Unassigned User Quick Filtering
Optimising user experience through seamless unassigned user filters
Introduction
Customers utilising Jira, an Atlassian product, have consistently expressed the need for a streamlined method to filter unassigned Jira tickets. This recurring feedback underscores the demand for a quick, efficient solution to effectively manage and prioritise tasks within the platform.
The challenge
While customers were able to create their own filters in the board this solution requires extra steps by our customers and creates a barrier for the user to use our products. This was holding users back from being able to pick up unassigned tickets easily, especially during planning sessions and stand-up rituals.
The goal of this project was to improve the user’s experience and create an efficient user flow to empower our customers.
The outcome
In order to solve this problem I designed a solution that aligned with our design system and was light weight which could slot in with the other assignee filtering options.
Our customers can now access the unassigned tickets with one click and with no requirement of confusing configurations.
